For Jennifer and Manuel Fonseca, healthcare has always been more than just their profession, it is a way of life. Now the long-time residents of Wellington plan to have an even deeper connection with their community, opening the doors to: Liquivida Wellington, a new wellness center, located at 13889 Wellington Trace, Suite A1.
After decades in traditional healthcare, the Fonsecas aspired to open a practice that reflected not only their medical expertise and shared belief in proactive, patient-focused care, but their values as a family. “You see wellness clinics on nearly every corner now, but it’s not always clear who’s running them or what kind of care is being offered. We live here. We raise our kids here, and we wanted to bring a place that offers real support for people who are ready to take control of their health.” says Jennifer.
The Fonseca’s experience in healthcare includes working at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, where they met. Jennifer was already deep into her nursing career—one that now spans 25 years, primarily in primary care and women’s health. Manny, a military veteran, came into healthcare as a second career after running a sports performance business. He’s now spent 15 years as a nurse practitioner with experience in cardiology, urgent care, and preventative care.
Over the years, they have seen how the traditional healthcare system can fall short—particularly when it comes to time, personalization, and early intervention. “In a lot of cases, people don’t reach out for help until they’re already sick,” Manny explains. “And when they do, the system is often set up to treat symptoms instead of prevent problems.”
Jennifer adds, “There’s a real gap between what patients need and what they’re getting. We wanted to be part of closing that gap.”
While exploring ways to do just that, the Fonsecas discovered Liquivida—a growing brand focused on diagnostics, functional health, and lifestyle support, and were excited about the prospect of bringing this type of healthcare to their community.
Their two sons, Alex and Nico, will even be helping out. Alex, 20, is considering a career in healthcare and will shadow in the clinic. Nico, still in high school, will handle administrative support between his school and community commitments.
Jennifer says that personal investment is what makes their center different. “We’re not here to sell trends. We’re here to help people make informed decisions about their health—based on data, education, and real relationships.”
Manny, who knows firsthand how easy it is to put off self-care, says that men tend to ignore the warning signs—low energy, trouble sleeping, weight gain. “They just keep pushing through until something forces them to stop. At Liquivida Wellington, he hopes to shift that mindset by offering screenings and consultations that focus on early indicators of health issues, not just symptoms.
“This isn’t about trying to get your 20s back,” Manny says. “It’s about being strong, present, and healthy for the people who count on you.”
Jennifer is equally passionate about creating safe spaces for women to discuss sensitive health topics—especially around hormone shifts, sexual health, and long-term vitality.
“People are still uncomfortable talking about these types of things, but they affect quality of life in major ways,” she explains. “My goal is to make it feel normal to talk about them—and to offer support without judgment.”

She also understands the levels of frustration and overwhelm patients experience. “There’s a lot of information out there, but not all of it is reliable,” she says. “If I weren’t a provider, I’d be confused too. We want to help patients navigate all that with clarity.”
To complement their whole-person approach to wellness, the Fonsecas have also partnered with other respected providers.
Dr. Jyoti Mohanty, a Palm Beach-based cardiologist with more than two decades of experience, will serve as the center’s Clinical Director. His work will focus on cardiovascular testing and preventive cardiac care.
In addition, Licensed Clinical Social Worker Shannon Mickle will provide mental health services, with a background in helping veterans and adults through life transitions, stress, and emotional health.
“True wellness is more than lab results,” Jennifer says. “It’s mental, emotional, and physical. We want to make sure we’re looking at the full picture.”

“There’s no one-size-fits-all here,” says Manny. “Every person has a different story. Our job is to listen to that story and use science to guide next steps.” Liquivida refers to this as the Vida Journey—a process designed to uncover underlying health patterns and create individualized care plans. That starts with comprehensive diagnostics and lab work, followed by a tailored roadmap based on the patient’s goals.
As they prepare to open their doors, the Fonsecas goal is for Liquivida Wellington to become a trusted health destination for anyone who wants to feel healthier, age better and be more in control of their health. Their hope is that it becomes a place where people feel seen, supported, and inspired to take that next step.
Liquivida Wellington is opening its doors on December 10th. A grand opening celebration is planned for later that week, with refreshments, local vendors, raffles and limited-time special promotions throughout the month.
